For Ivan Nixon, the kitchen was never just a place to prepare meals—it was where love was expressed, stories were shared, and traditions were passed from one generation to the next.

Growing up, Ivan spent countless hours watching his mother and father cook and learning alongside his grandmother, where he was introduced to the bold spices, rich traditions, and soulful flavors of his Caribbean heritage. With family roots in the island nation of Dominica and influences from his Puerto Rican upbringing, the kitchen became his classroom long before it became his profession.

He fell in love with recreating the meals that brought his family together—the recipes everyone requested, the dishes that marked life's celebrations, and the flavors that instantly made people feel at home. What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong passion.

Today, that same passion lives at the heart of Caspin's Authentic Kitchen.

Ivan combines the authentic flavors and traditions that shaped his upbringing with refined culinary techniques and a deep commitment to hospitality. Every menu is thoughtfully crafted to honor the cultures, stories, and experiences that inspired it while creating something uniquely memorable for each client.

Whether serving an intimate dinner, a corporate gathering, a wedding weekend, or a celebration with hundreds of guests, his goal remains the same: to create food that brings people together and moments they will remember long after the last bite.

With a background rooted in relationship-building, client service, and meaningful hospitality, Lauren believes that the smallest details often leave the biggest impression. It's the thoughtful follow-up, the personalized touch, the seamless communication, and the feeling guests carry with them long after an event has ended.

Lauren oversees many of the creative and client-focused elements that transform Caspin's Authentic Kitchen from a catering company into a brand people trust and an experience they remember. From client communication and event support to branding, guest experience, and the countless details behind the scenes, she helps ensure every celebration feels personal, welcoming, and effortlessly executed.

She believes the moments shared around the table deserve just as much care as the meals themselves. Whether refining an idea, anticipating a client's needs before they arise, coordinating the finishing touches, or serving as the official Chief Taste Tester, Lauren brings warmth, thoughtfulness, and a genuine passion for making people feel cared for.
